APPLICATION DEADLINE TO APPLY TO UNIVERISTY EXTENDED -
DUE TODAY. |
PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM
OUAC. Hello, We experienced a 2-hour disruption in access to our website and
applications last night (January 15). The OUAC's infrastructure is very
robust and has always been able to handle the volume of applicants accessing
our applications, even on deadline days. An inordinate and unusual volume of
traffic (beyond what we would expect from applicants) was blocked by security
filters set by our internet service provider, so no traffic was reaching our
servers. Access was restored at just before 9 pm. This is the first time we have experienced this specific type of
outage in all our years of operation. We will work with our service provider
in the coming weeks to try to determine the cause and source of the issue. We understand and apologize for the immense frustration and
anxiety this has caused our applicants and have decided to extend the
Undergraduate application deadline for Ontario high school students until
11:59 pm tonight, January 16, 2024. Undergraduate applicants have always been
able to submit applications after the deadline but may find some programs
closed. This will not change, but we have asked the universities not to close
any programs until tonight's new deadline. Please advise your students to submit their applications today
(January 16) if they were not able to yesterday. OUAC's Undergraduate Department |
