UPCOMING SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

 

Telesat Women in STEM Scholarships: Telesat intends for this program to reflect Canada’s broad diversity and the company strongly encourages Indigenous, visible minority students, and students with disabilities to apply

Eligible applicants must identify as female; be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident; be entering or already enrolled in full-time studies of an undergraduate degree in the 2024 academic year; be enrolled in an eligible STEM program as outlined in the 2023 program guidelines; have a minimum cumulative average of 75% (or equivalent) over the last three terms of available marks; be enrolled in an accredited Canadian university or technical college

Award: Eight $5,000 scholarships.

Deadline: March 26, 1 p.m.

 

Toronto Regional Real Estate Board’s Past President’s Scholarship: Open to graduating Ontario high school seniors. A record of academic achievement, a range of leadership qualities, and community involvement are required. Judging is based on a 1500- to 1800-word essay focusing on one of two real estate related topics.

Award: Two $5,000 first-place, two $2,500 second-place, two $2,000 third-place, and two $1,500 fourth-place awards.

Deadline: March 27, 3 p.m. 

 

MAX Scholarships are available to secondary school students who identify as Muslim. Applications open March 4th.

YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange (SWSE): The SWSE is a six-week program that offers youth ages 16-17 the opportunity to travel to a community in Canada where they live and work in their second language. Your family must be able to host a youth from another

community during the exchange “but if this is a barrier, let us know and we will work with you to find a solution.” First come, first served. Program dates: June 29 to August 10.
