GRADE 12 - 2023 PUBLIC FOLDER Students  must access the folder through their GAPPS account. APPLICATION DEADLINES: Ontario University Application Deadline: January 15, 2024 ** All students applying to university will require an OEN number to apply.  This OEN number will be distributed the week of October 10 through GAPPS accounts. APPLYING TO COLLEGE:   COLLEGE Important Dates - Fall Programs   Apply Early October The online application is available at ontariocolleges.ca. February 1, 2024 The deadline for applying to highly competitive programs. Applications received and paid for before this date will be given equal consideration by the colleges. NOTE: Applicants for all programs are encouraged to apply before this date, as website volumes are highest at this time.   Offer November 1, 2023 Earliest date the colleges may release offers to applicants. Offers will continue to be issued until programs are filled or wait lists are established. NOTE: Applicants who have not met admission requirements for a program may be notified at any time during the application process.   Accept November 1, 2023 Earliest date that applicants may confirm an offer of admission. May 1, 2024 The most common deadline for confirming offers of admission - but not the only one. Applicants should check their offers of admission for exact deadline dates. APPLYING TO UNIVERSITY: Ontario Universities' Info The OUInfo website has been updated for 2023-2024 and includes ways for students to engage with Ontario universities (e.g., campus tours, virtual events, webinars). Students can also request information directly from the universities they are interested in. UNIVERSITY IMPORTANT DATES January 15, 2024 The deadline for current Ontario high school students to submit their completed applications to the OUAC. Note: The OUAC will continue to process applications received after this date and distribute them to the Ontario universities; however, specific university deadlines will apply. May 29, 2024 The latest date all current Ontario high school students who submitted their application by the January application deadline can expect a response from an Ontario university. This includes an offer of admission, a refusal or a deferral, once additional information is received. June 3, 2024 The earliest date a current Ontario high school student may be required to respond to an Ontario university offer of admission and give a financial commitment (e.g., registration deposit, residence deposit, etc.). All other admission-related elements, including scholarships, other forms of student assistance or financial incentives, and offers of residence, are considered part of the offer of admission. Therefore, a student may accept these other offers before June 3, 2024, but Ontario universities will not compel a student in any way to make a decision before this date.
