On December
11th, Mr. Salsberg and 5 delegates from WCI's student body will be
participating in the annual Youth S.P.A.C.E. Symposium at Thornhill Community
Centre, where they will attend a series of workshops providing student leaders
with tools and resources to assist with creating school environments conducive
towards the health and wellbeing of all who inhabit them.
Youth
S.P.A.C.E. (Students Promoting Awareness Connection & Empowerment) is an
initiative run by YRDSB's Central Student Mental Health Team with the goal of
providing students with leadership opportunities in the promotion of mental
health and well-being within schools and the greater community. Through
collaboration and specialized training, students learn to empower and raise
awareness about mental health supports and initiatives aimed at building a
community in which all feel valued and understood. To find out more about Youth
